the premise: a group of 20-something girls decide it would be fun to mail their favorite books to each other in an attempt to be well-read...it's like being pen-pals, only passing on a letter that was written by somebody else...

Pretty reputable magazine--one of the girls in my program is going to be published in it this summer.
Memoirs like this fall under the category of "creative nonfiction," which I'm studying tons of right now. Recently, several have been exposed as having less truth than they purport to have... it's such an interesting thing to study.
